Morris Co., Ltd. (headquarters: Nakagyo-ku, Kyoto City, CEO: Takahito Mori), a jewelry brand that specializes in beautiful natural untreated rubies from Myanmar, is pleased to announce that it will be selling the world’s first natural untreated rubies from Myanmar in the Sanjo area of Kyoto City. We have decided to open a specialty store and hold a preview for members of the media on May 30th (Thursday).

2004 Established a local subsidiary in the Republic of the Union of Myanmar. 2007 Mining begins at the Nam-ya ruby mine in the northernmost Kachin state. The first jeweler to issue its own quality guarantee certificate.
Opening shops in Kyoto Sanjo and Tokyo Ginza
2005 “Morris Kyoto Sanjo Main Store” opened on Kyoto Sanjo Street. 2010: Opened “Morris Ginza Ruby Salon” in Ginza 5-chome.
2013: Opened “Morris Ginza store” on Ginza 5-chome Namiki-dori. 2022: Set up a workshop at Morris Kyoto Sanjo main store and invite Myanmar craftsmen.
2024: Ruby bridal jewelry specialty store “Morris Jewelry Kyoto Sanjo Store” opens.
Morris ruby sold for a high price at Sotheby’s
2017 Sotheby’s Magnificent Jewels. Lot #157 sold at a high price in NY. (The first jeweler to cover everything from mining to retail and recycling markets)
Participated in exhibiting at the special exhibition “Jewels: Miracles of the Earth”
March to June 2022 National Museum of Nature and Science
Participated in exhibiting Morris Ruby (Pigeon Blood 6ct/Ruby 3ct/Ruby Rough Quality Scale) at the special exhibition “Gemstones – Miracles Created by the Earth”.
From July to September 2022, we will cooperate in exhibiting the aforementioned ruby at the Nagoya City Science Museum.
