“New Bell” is a specialty of “cu-mo Hakone” and is an “edible smoothie” inspired by the clouds floating on the clear skies of Mt. Sounzan. After receiving your order, we carefully prepare and serve you a fresh cup. The cotton candy topping is made to look like clouds floating in the sky, making it visually appealing. If you hold it up to the sky on a sunny day, you can enjoy photogenic shots. The name “New Bell” comes from the Romansh word, which is spoken in the Swiss mountains, and means “cloud.” The gondola of the Hakone Ropeway is made in Switzerland, and since Hakone Tozan Railway and Switzerland’s Rhaetian Railway have a sister railway partnership, the gondola was named “New Bell” in honor of their history and friendship.
