This contest is a pitch contest that focuses on anime and other entertainment works that utilize technologies such as AI and blockchain, in response to the worldwide growth in content finance. In recent years, AI technology has brought innovation to the field of content production, and the number of works with new approaches is increasing. Furthermore, with the advancement of blockchain technology, the latest technologies such as
anime-specific chains have appeared, and a new flow has been born in funding. In light of these circumstances, PrinceJAM! is held with the intention of creating new opportunities to match Japanese content with global investment. Similar to last year’s Web3 game pitch contest “SHAKE! KYOTO,” Prince JAM! is a contest that focuses on works, and takes the form of judging works and soliciting business partners and investments. Participants will be asked to compile their work into a 2-minute trailer and highlight its appeal. We are planning to invite legendary creators from the anime industry as special judges for this contest. In addition, general judges are expected to be business companies such as distribution companies and publishers, as well as global VCs.
