Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare newly established “Age-Friendly Subsidy for 2020”! Yoga i am will provide a new custom-made exercise guidance service!
*The Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare has started accepting applications for the “FY2020 Age-Friendly Subsidy” for small and medium-sized enterprises that aim to improve the health of their employees. Yoga Training (R)︎ is an exercise guidance service that uses exercise methods that focus on improving posture.

Yoga.i.am Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “yoga.i.am”) was newly established by the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare and will accept applications from May 7, 2020 to October 31, 2020.

We will start “Made to order” service.
In line with the spread of the concept of “health management,” in which companies view the health management and maintenance of their employees as a profitable investment, this service provides exercise programs tailored to the company’s needs and circumstances, and dispatches instructors to workplaces. This is a custom-made service with flexibility in the way you take courses, such as online or online support.

“Yoga Training (R)︎
In order to prevent behavioral accidents such as falls and back pain due to the decline in physical function of workers, “Custom-made” is a physical function check based on an exercise program conducted by an expert to maintain and improve physical function, and a physical function check by an expert. We can provide exercise guidance. This is in line with the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare’s newly established subsidy, “Sports/Exercise Guidance Course to Prevent Falls and Lower Back Pain,” so it is possible to apply for the same subsidy.
The newly established subsidy will provide three-quarters of the cost, up to a maximum of 1 million yen (excluding consumption tax), to small and medium-sized enterprises that provide exercise guidance by experts. The purpose of the subsidy is to encourage people to prepare before a major accident occurs by preventing falls and back pain, which can easily put a strain on daily life and work, and can affect business activities.

Our certified instructors, who have a wealth of experience and skills, will carefully teach you exercises to maintain and improve physical function in order to prevent behavioral accidents such as falls and back pain, both in person and online.

“Yoga Training(R)︎” provided by Yoga i am is a unique exercise method that utilizes yoga exercises. Established as an exercise to help adults improve their posture, it has evolved into an exercise for all generations that also promotes the development of children and infants.For over 10 years, it has been used in schools and online classes, as well as in kindergartens and daycare centers. We have supported management and health maintenance. Currently, there are over 100 certified Yoga Training (R) instructors nationwide.

Yoga Training (R)︎ focuses on improving posture. Workers must maintain specific postures for long periods of time depending on the nature of their work and the working environment. Therefore, a tailored exercise program is required for each individual. Muscle stiffness and slowed movement make it difficult to maintain balance, increasing the risk of falls and injury. Poor balance also leads to unstable posture, which also affects walking. Decreased sense of balance is also associated with small steps, dragging of the feet, and decreased walking speed. For this reason, we will conduct a balance (sense of balance) check.

It is said that muscle mass begins to decline at its peak at the age of 20, and 40% is lost by the age of 80. This decrease in muscle mass accelerates the deterioration of the legs and hips, leading to falls and fractures resulting in bedridden conditions. It will be a trigger. As we age, we begin to lose muscle in our lower body, so it is important to strengthen our legs and hips. Additionally, it is known that the phenomenon of muscle loss with aging is more likely to occur in muscles called anti-gravity muscles, such as the latissimus dorsi, abdominal muscles, and the gluteal muscles around the buttocks. When anti-gravity muscles weaken, it becomes difficult to stand or walk, leading to a decline in activity capacity.
For this reason, we will perform a force check.

We create an original program by combining basic information such as balance checks and force control with hearings about the
characteristics of each job and workplace environment.
Instructors can of course come to your workplace to implement the program, but if you don’t have the space, we can suggest exercises that can be done at your office desk or online instruction to suit your workplace circumstances and environment.
