(Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo, President and Representative Director: Kao Hishida, hereinafter referred to as “MILIZE”) Continuing from last year, we conducted data handling training for new employees of Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Asset Management. A total of 7 sessions (7 hours per course) were held for the purpose of understanding and acquiring practical techniques in the four themes of Statistics, SQL, Python, and VBA.

MILIZE’s data scientists and AI engineers were in charge of data handling training, one of the training sessions for new employees. Since last year’s training, we have enriched the practice questions and provided more practical training.
■About the “Data Handling Training” curriculum
1. Statistics course
You will learn the basics of statistics necessary as basic knowledge before building machine learning models through classroom lectures and practical exercises.
2.SQL course
Learn SQL, a programming language for operating databases, and practice executing operations.
3. Python course
Learn the basics and analysis of Python, a programming language that can be used for various purposes such as application development, artificial intelligence, and data analysis.
4. VBA course
Learn VBA (Visual Basic for Applications), an extension of application software included in Microsoft Office that allows users to automate complex processes by writing and running simple programs. Increase efficiency of operation.

■MILIZE’s educational services
MILIZE has been running the “Financial AI School” since 2020, a school where you can learn AI that can be used in business, and has prepared multiple lecture contents. AI engineers with experience in the field will serve as lecturers and will visit companies or give lectures online.
