A tote bag commemorating the 100th anniversary of “Kinema Junpo” has been released – the first issue published in 1919 has been made into a tote bag!

On July 11, 1919, “Kinema Junpo” was born through the passion of several movie-loving students. More than 100 years later, we are pleased to announce the publication of “Best of Kinema Junpo (tentative title),” a mook commemorating the 100th anniversary of Kinema Junpo’s founding.

SHOP is now accepting reservations for a limited edition of 300 sets, which include a commemorative mook with a “Rutoto (collaboration tote bag) to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Kinema Junpo”. In addition, the names of everyone who pre-ordered will be published in this book to express our gratitude for 100 years.

First time in Kinema Junpo history! The magazine can be turned into a tote bag The first issue of “Kinema Junpo” in 1919 had a total of 4 pages with a print run of 500 copies, and was published in the same B5 edition, which was a B4-sized art magazine folded in half.
Rutoto, who resonated with our 100th anniversary project, created a tote bag suitable for anniversary goods.
The front and back covers of the first issue are placed on the front of the tote bag, and the inside page is placed on the inside. After 100 years, the first issue has been reproduced in a tote bag. (C)Kinema Junposha
“Best of Kinema Junpo (tentative title)” and the regular “Kinema Junpo” are also small enough to be carried around (approx. H37cm x W26cm), making them easy to use not only when going to the movies, but also for everyday outings.
