Showa Western movies that we loved
A man’s life is determined by how many good movies he watched when he was young. I feel like I read something like that in a book. In the 1960s, when men began to gain consciousness and became conscious of entertainment, the 1970s were the era of Western movies. Theaters were always showing popular movies, and if you turned on your TV, you could see Western movies being broadcast every day in prime time. I was moved by the stories that unfolded there, surprised by the unique ideas, and admired the lifestyle of a foreign country. That’s why everyone in this generation is keeping their own masterpieces that no one else knows about. In this special feature, we will try to recall some of the Western movies from the Showa era that had a great influence on the character formation of men in 1965.
