Starting in 2019, the event will be held twice a year, in summer and winter, and this year marks the 15th time.

Inside the venue, there is a market where creators active all over the country display and sell original works, including fashion items such as accessories and bags, interior decoration, kitchen, art, tableware, and handicrafts. , “Food Area” where carefully selected handmade foods from all over Japan gather*
It is a space where you can experience creativity with all five senses through experiences that can only be found here.

A special project with the theme of “Summer in NIPPON” will appear in the atrium. From 100 “fireworks” motifs to upcycled materials made from waste materials from “festivals” all over Japan, there is an array of creator works that will brighten up your summer.
Every time, HMJ holds a special project based on a theme in the atrium at the entrance of the venue, which has been well received. The theme of HMJ2024, which will be delivered with the start of summer vacation, is “Summer in NIPPON.” This time as well, a variety of content related to the theme will appear in the atrium. In addition to a special exhibition featuring over 100 works with a “fireworks” motif by HMJ participating creators, there will also be a special booth featuring original works created through the “Japanese Festival x Creema Upcycle Project.”
This is the first collection of works in which creators have breathed new life into waste materials from Japan’s leading summer festivals, such as the Aomori Nebuta Festival, Kochi Yosakoi Festival, and Akita Kanto Festival. In addition, we are planning additional content, such as a workshop where you can print original HMJ designs using silk screens on fans, giving you two creative days to enjoy summer through making things.

Japan is home to many creators with world-class talent and skills. “HandMade In” is a product of its originality, uniqueness, and meticulous attention to detail.
Please enjoy “Japan”.
