Discover! Plants are Interesting” was held.
The Institute holds an open house every year to let as many people as possible know about its research, and 372 people visited on the day, experiencing the world of cutting-edge plant science.
At the venue, there will be panel exhibitions of various experiments and research using plants, an introduction to genetic resources such as barley that the institute is proud of, barley cultivation experiences, scanning electron microscopy, barley field tours, and exhibitions of materials from the historical archives. , exchanges with international students were held. A quiz rally, which is popular every year, was also held, and the whole family, from children to adults, was seen having fun.
We heard comments from visitors such as, “I had fun learning about various types of research, which broadened my career prospects,” “I enjoyed looking through a microscope,” and “I’m glad I was able to experience speaking with foreigners in English.” I did. For details, please see the report below.
