Bronze Shinsha Co., Ltd. (location: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo, CEO: Machiko Wakatsuki) is holding a fair to commemorate the 15th anniversary of the publication of Ritake Suzuki’s “Shigotoba” series and to express our gratitude to our readers. It will be held at bookstores nationwide from mid-May.
During the fair, we will be selling a limited edition special edition book that comes with a special leaflet featuring an interview with Ritake Suzuki looking back on the past 15 years and newly drawn illustrations. Please feel free to visit our bookstore.

“Shigotoba” series introduction
A picture book written by Ritake Suzuki that covers various
occupations and introduces the work sites, tools used, work flow, etc. with stunning illustrations. Since the release of the first work “Shigotoba” in 2009, we have published six titles and introduced over 60 “Shigotoba”. The cumulative circulation of the series is over 360,000 copies. It has also been translated and published in Taiwan, Korea, and China, and is enjoyed both domestically and
internationally.

Born in Hamamatsu City, Shizuoka Prefecture in 1975. After working as a graphic designer, he became a picture book author.
“My Toilet” (PHP Institute) won the 17th Japan Picture Book Award Reader’s Award, “Shigotoba Tokyo Sky Tree (R)” (Bronze Shinsha) won the 62nd Shogakukan Children’s Publishing Culture Award, “Big Pinch Encyclopedia” (Shogakukan) won the 6th Miraiya Picture Book Award, the 13th Libro Picture Book Award, and the 15th MOE Picture Book Shop Award. In 2022, won the 2nd Takashi Yanase Cultural Award. Lives in Chiba Prefecture. Father of 2 boys and 1 girl.
