FaroStar Co., Ltd. conducts demonstration test of drone detection system [Drone ID Trucker] in cooperation with Tokyu Resorts & Stays Measures to address the problem of illegal drone flights
……
With the spread of drones, it has become possible to obtain images from viewpoints that were previously unavailable, making it extremely fun and convenient. However, at the same time, unwelcome uses are increasing. Therefore, we believe that it is necessary to take measures to address this issue as soon as possible.
May 17, 2024 – FaroStar Co., Ltd. (Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo, CEO: Nao Hoshi), in collaboration with Tokyu Resorts & Stay Co., Ltd. (Shibuya-ku, Tokyo, CEO: Minoru Awatsuji) We are pleased to announce that we will be conducting a demonstration test of the detection system Drone ID Trucker (hereinafter referred to as DIT). This demonstration test aims to prevent unauthorized photography due to illegal drone flights.
Illegal drone flight issue
In recent years, as drones have become more popular, problems such as illegal flights and privacy violations have increased. These problems have been reported in a variety of locations, including hot spring resorts, tower apartments, near Self-Defense Force grounds, and at events. We have been working on the development of a drone detection system DIT to provide a solution to these problems. This system quickly detects illegal drone flights and notifies relevant parties, enabling a rapid response.

This demonstration test is an important step in confirming the effectiveness and reliability of the system. The period and location of the test will not be made public in order to prevent illegal drone operators from knowing that the detectors have been installed. Through this demonstration test, FaroStar Co., Ltd. and Tokyu Resorts & Stay aim to promote the appropriate use of drones and contribute to solving social issues.
