TV Tokyo drama becomes “first overseas remake version”! A huge hit in the Middle East and North Africa, with plans to expand to Europe, America and Asia!
～“I’m Just Not Divorced” Arabic version ranks first in Egypt～ ……
The “first overseas remake” of the drama produced and broadcast by TV Tokyo Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo, President and CEO: Ichiro Ishikawa) has been distributed online, and has recorded the highest number of views in Egypt. It is popular in the Middle East and North Africa. Currently, there is only an Arabic remake, but there are talks of remakes in other languages as well.
What has become popular is the Arabic version (titled “All But Divorced”) of the drama “Just Not Divorced” produced by TV Tokyo and others and broadcast on TV Tokyo in 2021. Last September, TV Tokyo entered into an Arabic remake rights agreement with Rise Studios, a video production company based in the Middle East and North Africa. It is tied and produced. It was distributed on Amazon Prime Video in May 2024, and not only recorded the number one viewership in Egypt, but also ranked in the top 10 in Middle Eastern countries such as Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Jordan.
This is the first time that a drama produced by TV Tokyo has been produced and distributed as an overseas remake, and in the future we aim to expand into Europe, America and Asia by remaking it into other languages.

Directed by Mari Asato, Kyoya Tsunoda, Taku Matsumoto (TV Tokyo). “Just Not Divorced” is based on the manga of the same name (author: Yuki Honda, serialized: Young Animal, published by Hakusensha), and the first episode recorded 1.93 million views on TVer, and TV Tokyo’s It has become the second most viewed program of all time (first place is “What Did You Eat Yesterday? Season 2”), and its unique and sarcastic story is attracting interest from drama producers around the world. In addition, the drama “Before You Become a Beast”, starring Hiromitsu Kitayama and director Mari Asato, is currently being aired on TV Tokyo from 24:12 on Fridays.
