Yuki Kajiura is a composer who has gained overwhelming support for his multi-purpose activities, including musical accompaniments for popular anime. “Parade of 6,000 Songs” is a book that adds significant additional elements to the NHKBS documentary that conducted a long-term close interview with Mr. Kajiura.

“The Style of the Extraordinary Talent” will be released by NHK Publishing on July 25th. Reservations will start from June 3rd. Mr. Kajiura himself sent us a message regarding the publication. *
In addition to providing musical accompaniment for anime works such as “Puella Magi Madoka Magica,” “Fate/Zero,” and “Sword Art Online,” he has also provided music to popular singers and solo projects. Yuki Kajiura is a composer who enjoys overwhelming support both
domestically and internationally.
Last year, Mr. Kajiura celebrated his 30th anniversary since his debut, and took on the challenge of overseas concert tours and a Budokan live performance, which is unusual for a musical composer. In this 30th anniversary year, NHK conducted its first long-term in-depth interview, which was broadcast on NHKBS in December 2023 and received a lot of attention.
This book is the long-awaited book version of this program. * How is a unique work world born? *
–In addition to many unreleased parts, we will also conduct additional interviews with Mr. Kajiura, delving into the secret behind his unknown creations and his personality.

Last year, Director Takumi Kimizuka conducted a very thorough interview over a long period of time, and he created a wonderful program called “6,000 Songs Parade.” In addition to that interview, we also conducted many long interviews, and now we have decided to publish it as a book.
The 30 years since my debut have passed by in the blink of an eye, and I’ve been having so much fun and working so hard that if someone told me that, I’d think, “I see.” But for me, I feel like I’m still on the road. I am very grateful to you for creating this program and this book, which will act as a flag that will be left on the side of the road.
For myself, by having a clear view of the past years through this research, I feel like I can face the joy of sound with new joy and interest. If you are interested, I would appreciate it if you could pick it up.

In addition to writing and directing the films “Ruby Fruit,” “A Fierce Season,” “The Last Day,” and “The Moon,” he also directed numerous documentaries, information programs, and TV dramas as a TV director. He noticed Yuki Kajiura’s talent from an early stage and teamed up with him in the movies “Ruby Fruit” and “Tsuki.”
