Work style reforms are progressing around the world, but the way we learn remains the same. Although it is necessary to have a variety of learning methods tailored to each person’s individuality and circumstances, in reality, learning is often done in a “side-by-side” or “passive” manner. The reality is that children who do not fit into the school framework cannot even find a place to belong.
Schools also need to change flexibly, and classes using the Metaverse are attracting attention as a solution to this problem. Metaverse is a virtual space on the Internet where you can freely interact using avatars. By using the Metaverse, it should be possible to learn in a way that is tailored to your individuality and circumstances. In this book, I will explain education using the Metaverse and the “Metaverse School” (Metask) that I am launching. We hope that this book will become an introductory book that introduces “metaverse education” that will change the future of schools.
Publication history
After graduating from university, the author has been involved in the field of education for 22 years, including 19 years as a special needs school teacher and elementary school teacher, and 3 years as a vice principal. In my 22 years of experience in the educational field, I have seen children who cannot find their place, and teachers who take time off or retire due to mental illness, so I believe that there is always a form of education that suits each child. I have always thought that I should be able to create a place where I can do my best. I have expressed these feelings to schools and boards of education, but it is difficult to reform a rock-solid, centralized organization, and after much consideration, I have decided to resign. If I really wanted to change education, I decided to team up with like-minded people, create a new education system as an autonomous decentralized organization, and try to approach it from the outside. And now, we have started creating a “school of the future” that all children around the world can get excited about.
I would like to utilize my experience and perspective as a former vice principal to realize my ideal of “education that leaves no one behind.” I also want many people to understand that there is more than one form of education and to deepen their understanding of metaverse education. During my 22 years as a teacher, more than half of my work has been at special needs schools, and my experience in special needs schools, where children who require support and assistance attend, is particularly memorable.
Seeing how the children in the hospital strongly wanted to go to school no matter how difficult the situation was, I realized that it was important for them not only to study but also to have experiences that can only be had at school. I started thinking about it. In April 2025, we will open “Metaverse FREE School” (Metask), a “school of the future” conceived by a “former vice principal” where anyone can learn anytime, anywhere. I hope it will be implemented. This will improve the way teachers work and enable them to realize their individual teaching styles. Metasask aims to support teachers in their step-up and enable them to provide education in an energetic and enjoyable manner. Ultimately, we need to build successful
public-private partnerships and incorporate the metaverse into school education. We hope that this book will help us gain the understanding and cooperation of many people.

After graduating from university, he worked as a temporary teacher, then worked in the field of education for 22 years, including 19 years as a special needs school teacher and elementary school teacher, and 3 years as a vice principal. From my experience of not attending school and teachers’ mental health issues, I decided to retire early at the age of 46 in April 2023, hoping to create a hybrid (multiverse) education system that incorporates the metaverse into school education so that everyone can be happy. Starting this month, the “Metaverse Counseling Room” was opened in the Metaverse College space operated by CO-DREA, providing advice to parents and teachers who are worried about school refusal.
“Metaverse FREE School/Future School” is scheduled to open in April 2025. At the same time, an NPO is also planned to be established, and they are traveling around the country in preparation. He lives in Shiga Prefecture with his wife and four children.
