[SDGs x Industry-Government-Academia Collaboration] Public seminar “Learning from the weather! Current status of climate change” held ~Thinking about creating a sustainable social system~
……
Kanda University of International Studies (Mihama Ward, Chiba City/President Takahisa Miyauchi) is collaborating with Weathernews Inc. and Chiba City to implement the SDGs (Goal 7: “Affordable and clean energy” and Goal 13: “Specific measures to combat climate change”). A public seminar (panel discussion) on “Learning from the weather! The current state of climate change” will be held on Thursday, June 27, 2024, on campus. Currently, due to the effects of severe global warming, abnormal weather conditions are being observed in various parts of Japan, including record-high average temperatures and streak-like precipitation bands occurring one after another. We will provide an opportunity to think about why these things happen and how we should respond in the future, together with weather experts and our university professors and students who research how to create sustainable social systems.
