Hilton Hiroshima (Naka-ku, Hiroshima General Manager Samuel Peter) At the 1st floor “Flow Lounge”, starting July 1st (Monday), an assortment of 5 types of bread will be available, arranged like real rice balls in bamboo bento boxes. “Onigiri Bread Bento” will be sold for takeout only for ¥1,200. (Limited to 5 pieces per day)
This unique onigiri bread that will make you cheer as soon as you open the box is a new proposal from Hilton Hiroshima’s baker Rendy Tonny. The rice ball-shaped bread is made from buttery, crispy croissant dough, and is wrapped in nori seaweed with a sauce that is perfect for the bread, which is an arrangement of standard rice ball ingredients such as plums and tuna.
“Plum” is a combination of crunchy plums, cream cheese, and furikake “Yukari” from Hiroshima Prefecture, “Tuna Mayo” is tuna and mayonnaise with capers as a hidden ingredient, and chocolate and hazelnut paste are used to create a taste that looks just like chocolate. Two types of bread are set in a colorful side dish cup next to three types of “chocolate” rice ball bread arranged like seaweed. The sourdough bread with walnuts and the pistachio and dark chocolate twist bread are served with pistachio cream in a separate container. How about having a slightly different lunch than usual or as a casual gift for someone who loves bread?
