Stir-fry cooking robot “I-Robo” newly introduced at 3 Osaka Ohsho stores ~Introduced at 3 model stores to expand implementation~
TECHMAGIC Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Koto-ku, Tokyo, President and CEO: Hiroshi Shiraki, hereinafter referred to as “Tech Magic”), which innovates delicious food with robot technology, is the owner of Osaka Ohsho Co., Ltd. (Tokyo Head Office), which operates the gyoza specialty store “Osaka Ohsho.” Offices: Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo Representative Director and President: Koji Fumino) Osaka Osho Nagao store (Hirakata City, Osaka Prefecture), Osaka Osho LaLaport Shin Misato store (Misato City, Saitama Prefecture), Osaka Osho Okachimachi Ekimae store (Taito Ward, Tokyo) By May 2024, we will newly introduce the stir-fry cooking robot “I-Robo”.
Approximately half a year has passed since we started the test introduction of “I-Robo” at Osaka Osho Nishigotanda store in October 2023. At the Nishi-Gotanda store, chefs are able to use multiple I-Robos to prepare ingredients for the next meal and serve customers, reducing the time it takes to serve food during busy times compared to before. This led to an increase in the number of customers.
Additionally, while most set meals are a combination of “special dishes + white rice,” the Nishigotanda store’s new menu, “Special dishes + fried rice,” made possible through the introduction of “I-Robo,” is popular. As a result, we have introduced “I-Robo” to three stores, as it has been highly praised for increasing the average customer spend.

▲Introduced to Osho LaLaport Shin-Misato store (Misato City, Saitama Prefecture) and Osaka Osho Okachimachi Ekimae store (Taito-ku, Tokyo) by May 2024
[Image 2:×720.jpg] Osaka Osho currently has 337 stores nationwide (as of the end of February 2024). The recent introduction of “I-Robo” at three stores marks the beginning of full-scale introduction of “I-Robo” to various locations and customer groups. The Nagao store is a large roadside store with many table seats, and many customers visit with their families. LaLaport Shin Misato store is a new store that opened in the food court of a commercial facility. We verified the operation of simultaneously serving multiple dishes in a crowded food court on weekends. The Okachimachi Ekimae store is located in the downtown area in front of the station, and unlike other stores, we are planning to conduct verification at an all-electric store.
Each store has two “I-Robo” installed. “We want to provide our customers with the food they want without having to wait.” Tech Magic will continue to improve the robot so that it is not just a robot to alleviate the labor shortage, but also helps to further expand the “happy food scene” that Osaka Osho values. The latest version of the stir-fry cooking robot “I-Robo2” to be released this summer will be even more compact, with improved touch panel operability and automatic cleaning function. With the release of I-Robo2, we hope that the introduction of I-Robo2 will increase even in stores where size has been a barrier to adoption and has not been able to do so until now. In addition, we plan to continue expanding the number of stores that have introduced the stir-fry cooking robot.
[I-Robo introduction overview]
[Image 3:×800.jpg] Osaka Osho has a cooking certification examination system that judges cooking speed and quality at three levels, from 1st grade to 3rd grade. For half a year, we studied the pot-handling skills of one of only 17 skilled craftsmen in the country with a level 1 cooking skill from various angles. In order to stably provide the same quality as them, I-Robo is a complete copy of I-Robo, with fine adjustments made to the heating temperature, heating time, pan rotation speed, and direction of rotation. At “I-Robo,” you can prepare about 20 stir-fried dishes from Osaka Osho’s standard menu of about 60 dishes. With the introduction of “I-Robo,” the need for cooking in heavy woks has been reduced, and the harsh kitchen environment has been improved with its powerful firepower. This will also help alleviate labor shortages.

■Stir-fried cooking robot “I-Robo2”
I-Robo, a cooking robot developed by TECHMAGIC, is a robot that can automate a series of operations such as stirring, heating, and cleaning the frying pan after cooking. Masu. In automatic cooking, heating temperature, heating time, frying pan rotation speed, and rotation direction can be adjusted flexibly and appropriately according to the menu. In this way, by introducing I-Robo, we aim to promote labor savings and solve the problem of labor shortage. The newly released “I-Robo2” is an evolved model that is even more compact in size and has improved cleanability and touch panel operability. In addition, options such as safety guards and
circulation hoods can be added according to requests, further expanding the range of customization to meet the diversifying needs of clients.

■Touch panel
– The touch panel is larger and easier to see. – Changed the cooking operation flow displayed on the touch panel to meet a wide range of needs, including for restaurant kitchens and self-cooking (customers themselves put ingredients into I-Robo and cook). – The user interface has evolved to include many illustrations, making it easier to see and understand.
■Body size
・By placing the cleaning tank in the front, the depth is smaller than the conventional I-Robo, making it possible to install it in more places.
■Options can be added (detergent, safety guard, barcode, circulation hood) – Detergent option: Cleaning with detergent allows for more hygienic operation.・Safety guard: Especially effective when self-cooking. Prevents oil and water splashing, making it safe for anyone to handle.・Barcode (QR code): The barcode reader is located at the bottom of the touch panel. When self-cooking, you can call up cooking recipes by reading the barcode (QR code) that comes with the food kit. It also prevents unauthorized use and pressing the wrong menu.・Circulation hood: By attaching it as an option, it can be installed without installing an exhaust hood. Air conditioning work can be reduced (reduced construction costs, increased air conditioning efficiency), and the range of layout and installation location options is expanded.
