[Iga City, Mie Prefecture] We are recruiting applications for Iga brand certification for 2020
*We support Iga products that have been secretly cultivated and full of charm* *
The Iga Brand Promotion Council certifies the Iga brand “IGAMONO” to include excellent Iga products that have been nurtured by Iga’s climate and lifestyle, and which bring together the wisdom and skills of Iga craftsmen, as well as businesses involved in their production. We aim to expand our sales channels by promoting and recommending our products nationwide, with a concept theme of “Iga-style special products,” which are full of attractive Iga products cultivated in Japan. *
*This is the 10th time we are accepting applications for Iga brand certification as follows. *
(1) Recruitment method
[Recruitment period]
Monday, June 3, 2020 to Friday, June 28, 2020
[Recruitment target]
In principle, products produced, manufactured, and processed in the Iga region (primary products, processed products, crafts) and their businesses, etc.
*Sole proprietors cannot apply for primary products.
[Application qualifications]
1. Businesses (individuals, corporations, organizations) that operate agriculture, forestry, fishing, manufacturing, or service industries, and as a general rule, have their main business office in the Iga region.
2. There is no delinquent payment of resident tax, etc. levied and collected by Iga City, etc.
3. There is no violation of laws and regulations regarding production, manufacturing, processing, sales, etc.
4. The person in charge and the location of responsibility are clear, and a system for handling complaints and requests from third parties is established.

Please read the “Iga Brand Certification Application Guide” carefully, fill out the necessary information in the prescribed form, attach relevant documents, and submit it by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, June 28, 2020. Please bring it to the Commerce, Industry and Labor Division of the Promotion Department (can be sent by mail, must arrive).

(2) Examination method
The Iga Brand Certification Committee (scheduled to be held on August 1, 2020) has created 1. Concepts with the concept theme of “Iga products secretly cultivated and full of charm, “Iga-style
masterpieces.”
Documents and presentations will be reviewed based on five
certification criteria: 2. Uniqueness, 3. Reliability, 4.
Marketability, and 5. Future potential.
(3) Notification of examination results
Applicants who are found to meet the certification criteria in the Iga Brand Certification Committee’s certification review will be notified by a certification review result notification and will receive their certificate at the certification ceremony (scheduled to be held on August 27, 2020). will be issued. Applicants who are found not to meet the certification criteria will be notified of the reason in the certification review result notification.
(4) Others
・Applications are limited to two items per business.
・Certified businesses, etc. (certified businesses) must pay the registration fee related to certification. The new registration fee will be 10,000 yen for each certified item, and 2,000 yen for 2 or more certified items.
