*Popular YouTuber “Yomii”‘s “Design Piano for Children” will be installed as a street piano*

“StreetPiano Y1″ (Street Piano
Y1) is a colorfully designed piano featuring characters wearing trademark sunglasses, based on a design drawing created using AI by composer, pianist, and YouTuber Yomi.
The production was inspired by the popular TBS program “The Mysterious Challenge” where Yomii was featured in the “Myculean Performance ~Blindfolded Piano~” segment, in which players play difficult pieces on the piano while blindfolded without missing a single note. “If I received 1 million yen, I would like to make a street piano,” he said.

Yomi Design’s piano “StreetPiano Y1″ was born from the experience of playing street pianos all over the country for about 5 years starting in 2019.
I wanted to make street pianos for children, and when I won a prize for a project on a TV program, I got the chance to make one. I purchased a piano and created the design myself using AI software. I hope that this piano can be used in many places as a street piano that anyone can play freely.
I am very happy to be able to unveil it at Ariake Garden.
The video of the performance we performed here when Ariake Garden opened in June 2020 has been viewed over 10 million times on YouTube, making it a memorable place for me.

Although the planned opening event has been canceled, we have set up a street piano called “LovePiano” with the cooperation of Yamaha Music Japan Co., Ltd., so that everyone in the neighborhood can feel the excitement of the opening. At that time, Yomi was the first to play the street piano. They brought surprise and joy to the audience with their wonderful performance, and added color to the opening of Ariake Garden. “StreetPiano” was designed for children after 4 years of work. We are happy that “Y1” will once again be able to bring smiles to many children’s faces and provide the neighborhood with an up-close experience with music.

Born in 1997. The total number of subscribers to his two YouTube channels exceeds 2.7 million, and the total number of video views exceeds 1 billion. His first song, which he composed when he was 15 years old, made him the youngest person ever to win an award at the “Taiko no Tatsujin National Competition Recommendation Competition”. Utilizing his improvisational arrangement ability, he has been a technical demonstrator and advisor for Yamaha’s “AI Ensemble System” since 2016, and in 2022, he conducted a nationwide Zepp tour using the system, which was a huge success.
