“Savings” and “Traveling” came in second place, followed by “Splurge without thinking” came in 7th place.
1st place: Investment
– Simply add it to your assets and use it for a new NISA, individual stocks, or investment trusts to help you reach your FIRE goal as quickly as possible. (Male in his 20s)
・Since my children are young, I would like to save enough money to invest until then and use it for expenses such as my child’s entrance into university. I also want to start a new NISA. (Female in her 40s) ・I would like to buy as many individual preferential stocks as possible to fill the growth investment quota of the new NISA and receive as many shareholder benefits as possible. (Female in her 40s) 1st place is “Investment”.
Many people seem to want to use the winning amount as capital to further increase their winnings.
2nd place: Savings
・I chose “Savings” because I thought I would put about half of the money into savings. Still, I will use it if I find a use for it. Also, please be sure to donate at least 100,000 yen. (Female in her 40s) ・I’m currently supporting my family by myself, so I have very little money to spend on myself, and I don’t have any savings. I want to start saving money now for the future. (female teenager)
・I don’t have much savings, so if I had 5 million, I’d rather not use it and save it in case something really happens. (Male, 30s) “Savings” came in second place.
Some people say they don’t have any savings, so they would like to take this opportunity to save money.
3rd place: Travel
・I haven’t been able to go there lately. I want to feel refreshed by experiencing a different atmosphere and a different world. I also think that by bringing the parents who have taken care of me with me, I can act as a filial piety to my parents. (Male in his 30s) ・I haven’t traveled much with my family, so I would like to take them on a domestic trip together. I would also like to travel around the country. (Female in her 40s)
・I would like to go on a domestic trip to many places, eat delicious food, and be luxurious.I would like to be able to stay at a luxury inn for several nights. (Female in her 30s)
4th place: Car
・It’s something I couldn’t get anyway, so it’s nice and refreshing to use it all at once. I’m going to buy a car because it will also be an asset. (Male in his 30s)
・I bought the car I’m currently driving because it was cheap, but I’m dissatisfied with its performance, so if I win the lottery, I want to buy something that I’m satisfied with without worrying about the price. (Male, 50s and up)
・My husband’s car is already falling apart. I bought a used Passo, but the paint is peeling off and I’m embarrassed to ride it. Since it is old, the car tax is also high. The vehicle inspection is coming soon, but I don’t have the money, so I have to decide whether to send it in for the vehicle inspection or buy a new one…I wonder if I have 5 million yen left somewhere. (Female in her 40s)
5th place: Hobby
・If I had to choose one thing, I would use it for my hobbies because I have been putting up with it until now. Ideally, I would like to invest 2 million and use the rest for hobbies and travel. (Female in her 30s)
・I always worry about the amount of money I invest in my hobbies, so sometimes I want to enjoy my favorite hobbies to the fullest without thinking about money. (Female in her 30s)
・I don’t want to make big purchases, but rather enjoy small things like everyday hobbies like books, delicious food, and miscellaneous goods, and save the rest. (Female in her 40s)
6th place: Debt repayment
・Currently, I can’t afford to pay back the loan, so I would like to pay it off once I win the lottery and make my monthly life easier. (Female in her 40s)
・I have a loan left on my house, so I would like to use it to pay it off. If your balance decreases by 5 million yen, your interest rate will decrease and your life will become easier. (Female in her 30s) ・I would like to use the money to repay the mortgage I am currently paying to shorten the number of monthly payments and make my retirement life a little easier. (Male over 50s)
7th place: Splurge without thinking
・Since it was made from something I didn’t have, I’m free to set a certain limit and reward myself by buying small things that I want to use. (Male in his 30s)
“Splurge without thinking twice” is ranked 7th.
It’s something that didn’t exist originally, so it’s refreshing to be able to use it as much as I like.
summary
When we surveyed 100 people, 32.0% of them answered “investment.” Many respondents also said that they would like to buy stocks and receive preferential treatment because their investments will increase more than their savings.
It turns out that there are many people who want to use the money they get to grow or save money, rather than just spending it at once. If you are buying a lottery ticket, why not try simulating what it would be like to win?
