Kumamoto University Machinaka Campus will hold an exhibition entitled “Stories about mosquitoes that you don’t know – The world of mosquitoes seen from the perspective of geography”
Kumamoto University, in collaboration with Newco One Co., Ltd.*, will hold the exhibition “Stories of Mosquitoes You Didn’t Know – The World of Mosquitoes as Seen from Geography” on Kumamoto University’s Machinaka Campus as follows.
This exhibition introduces the research of Associate Professor Mayuko Yonejima of our university’s Graduate School of Humanities and Social Sciences, who specializes in environmental geography.
Associate Professor Yonejima uses geographic information technology to conduct risk mapping research for mosquito-borne diseases, and this time he will explain the ecology of mosquitoes and infectious diseases transmitted by mosquitoes, as well as discuss the research he has undertaken to date. will be introduced on the panel. Additionally, on July 6th (Saturday), we will hold a talk event with Associate Professor Yonejima, as well as a sale of Kumamoto University original goods at the venue.
