(Headquarters: Taito-ku, Tokyo, Representative Director: Takuro Hirota) has recently opened a fast food restaurant serving Indian-style chicken curry, “Mutu’s Chicken Curry”, in the resort hotel “HOTEL LOCAL BASE” on Miyakojima, Okinawa Prefecture. Authentic Indian curry fast food restaurant “Muthu’s Chicken Curry” is a fast food restaurant that serves Indian-style chicken curry with the flavor and richness that Japanese people love, as well as the stimulation of spices. Hajime Tsuchiya, the founder of Manatsu Spice Cafe Chanoma, which operated on Miyakojima until 2016, directed the menu development, and has recently opened a restaurant in HOTEL LOCAL BASE, a resort hotel on Miyakojima, Okinawa Prefecture. Open. The menu is simply chicken curry, and by pursuing compatibility with rice, we offer a curry that has a nostalgic feel that you can eat every day.
Yellow curry: 1,000 yen (tax included)
A creamy and mellow cashew nut-based curry sauce.
Red boyfriend: 1,000 yen (tax included)
Enjoy the aroma of spices with a tomato-based curry sauce.
Green curry: 1,000 yen (tax included)
A spinach-based curry. This menu is especially recommended for those who are worried about lack of vegetables.
All menu items are gluten-free. The restaurant is served in a fast food format where you purchase a meal ticket, so you can easily stop by and enjoy your meal.

“Muthu’s Chicken Curry” was conceived when I was wandering around eating curry excitedly, fascinated by the freedom and openness of curry, despite being at the mercy of chaotic India. The base flavor is based on a recipe learned at a local restaurant, but has been adjusted to make it easier to eat.
“Indian curry by Japanese, by Japanese, for Japanese”
A curry that emphasizes not only the stimulation of spices but also the flavor of the soup stock. A delicious curry that goes well with rice, not naan or chapati. A curry that doesn’t have a strong punch, but has a nostalgic feel that you can eat every day. That’s the kind of curry I was aiming for. Miyakojima in Okinawa Prefecture is a small island surrounded by beautiful ocean on all sides. A large amount of floating garbage has washed up on the island, and it has become a big problem. Among these, the waste plastic problem is a particularly serious environmental issue.
At Lightec, we are working to reduce the amount of plastic we use, and since 2019 we have been based at HOTEL LOCAL BASE in Miyakojima, Okinawa, collecting more than the same amount of plastic waste as we produce, and collaborating with local people. We will promote environmental improvement activities centered on Miyakojima, such as environmentally friendly activities and environmentally friendly sea activity projects.
