A combination of miracles and miracles. Fresh Japanese sweets recognized around the world
Japan’s great achievement predicts a storm in the Japanese sweets industry! ? ……
〇〇〇〇〇, which always ranks high in the Japanese sweets popularity ranking, has achieved a great feat!
Do you know the Japanese confectionery shop that won the gold medal at the World Food Olympics?
At the Olympics, the quality of products submitted from all over the world is evaluated from all angles, including not only taste, aroma, and mouthfeel, but also packaging, what kind of ingredients they are made of, and more.
However, until now, very few fresh Japanese sweets have won awards. No matter how high-quality the sweets were, it would take seven days to mail them to Belgium, the screening venue, and we had no choice but to give up on submitting fresh Japanese sweets that contain too much water and don’t last long. Under these circumstances, Japan’s proud fresh sweets did not receive sufficient international recognition. However, one Japanese confectionery shop was able to enter the Olympics by miraculously achieving a 14-day expiration date.

One phone call delivered another miracle. Considering the impact of the global pandemic that occurred in 2019, the Japanese government has applied for a change in the examination location. As a result, it was decided that the examination would be held in Tokyo, and the Japanese confectionery shop was able to arrive on the day of the examination in a much fresher state. The result was a gold medal. Not only
refrigerated warabi mochi but also frozen warabi mochi were
recognized.
As has been featured in the media every day, Japanese warabi mochi is in high demand among foreign tourists, and this moment of recognition at an international festival is a great opportunity to spread the Japanese sweets culture. The skills of craftsmen must never be lost. Now that we have made a start by winning the Monde Selection Gold Award, let’s pass on the Japanese sweets culture to the future.

What Japanese confectionery shops have achieved is the beginning of prosperity in Japanese confectionery culture.
