*Determined to open as the first overseas store from Monday, June 17, 2024* Ripot Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo, CEO Director: Koji Iwasaki) will open the first overseas cat cafe MOCHA on June 17, 2024 (Monday).
We will open the Gangnam store in Korea.
This is the cat cafe industry’s first overseas expansion. We will open the Gangnam store in South Korea as our first overseas store. South Korea is currently experiencing an unprecedented cat boom, and it is said that the number of people who own cats is twice as many as those who own dogs. In addition, in recent years, the number of Korean tourists has been rapidly increasing, especially at the Shibuya and Harajuku stores of Cat Cafe MOCHA. From this perspective, we thought it was the most appropriate first step to spreading Japanese pop culture overseas.
