Marunouchi, President and CEO: Narumi Shimura (ABC) will be
participating in the Greener Clean Project, which will be launched by 3M Japan Ltd. on June 5th (Wednesday), “Environment Day.” Since 2020, ABC has been running a “Used Kitchen Sponge Recycling Program” at some studios in Japan that allows students to collect sponges used in the studio and used sponges brought in by students and recycle them into recycled plastic products. ”. In this project, in addition to the continuation of this recycling program and the 1-day lesson on food loss reduction that we have been implementing independently, we will distribute the “Greener Clean Project – Environmental measures from the kitchen” storybook to members. We are planning to do more. Through our participation in this project, we will contribute to the realization of a sustainable society.

Changing the world from your home kitchen ~ ABC’s initiatives ~ With the mission of “changing the world from the home kitchen,” ABC is promoting SDGs initiatives such as reducing food loss and plastic waste through home cooking. Since January 2020, ABC has been holding 1-day lessons aimed at reducing food loss. Through the lessons, we teach delicious ways to use up and cook ingredients that are not often used, and create an opportunity to increase interest in food loss. We are doing In this project, we will teach students how to contribute to society through the reduction of food loss.

Since December 2010, we have opened classes in eight countries and regions overseas: China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, Thailand, South Korea, Malaysia, and Indonesia, and are expanding our services mainly in Asia. Based on our corporate philosophy of “bringing smiles to tables all over the world,” we have “ABC Cooking Studio” where you can learn cooking, baking, and cakes, “abc kids” which is a cooking studio for children aged 4 and up, and “1day” which is a one-time course with no joining fee. We provide services such as “Lessons” to convey to students the importance and joy of “homemade food.” We also operate a regional revitalization business through recipe development and consulting using local products, a media business for product promotion, and a dispatch business (ABC Job Studio) that provides human resources support to companies and local governments.
