Kyukamura Nikko Yumoto, a resort hotel located on the shores of Lake Yunoko in Oku-Nikko, Tochigi Prefecture (location: Yumoto Onsen, Nikko City, Tochigi Prefecture, General Manager: Takatoshi Kawasaki), offers a variety of services to coincide with the best time to see the Japanese cypress blooming on Senjugahama. A free shuttle bus to Akanuma, the gateway to Senjogahara, will be provided exclusively to guests staying at the hotel. At Senjugahama, the shore of Lake Chuzenji, where clumps of linthorn bloom in clusters, the lakeside is adorned with lovely pink and white linthorn flowers and fresh green trees. From Akanuma, please walk or use the low-pollution bus (500 yen, free ride) that connects to the hiking course.

Located on the western edge of Lake Chuzenji, Senju-gahama is a 2-kilometer-long beach from north to south. It is a rich natural area with forests of Quercus oaks and Chinese elms that are over 200 years old. It’s an area. Every year in early June, clumps of clumps bloom in clusters, earning the area the nickname “the sacred place of lints.” The sight of fresh green trees and dainty Japanese cypress blooming on the clear waterfront is beautiful, and the area is crowded with tourists and photographers.

It is said that the “Laburnum” is native to the highlands of Burma and Tibet, and the yellow flowers that bloom among the pink and white flowers are also pretty.
Additionally, a stream flows through the wetland next to the “Ryuzu-no-Takishita Parking Lot”, which is approximately 20 minutes by car from Kyukamura Nikko Yumoto, and beautiful linden flowers bloom in clusters on both sides of the river. It’s an easy spot to observe kurinsou, which blooms quietly on the side of the national highway.

◆Low-pollution bus – Private cars are not allowed in the areas around Odashirohara, Nishinoko, and Senjugahama for environmental
conservation reasons, so low-pollution buses operate from in front of the Akanuma Nature Information Center. The approximately 10km line is surrounded by Quercus oak and larch forests, and you can enjoy the Oku-Nikko forest and the animals that live along the line just by riding the train. Kyukamura Nikko Yumoto provides a free shuttle bus to Akanuma, a low-pollution bus stop, for guests staying overnight. After climbing up the famous “Irohazaka” and passing Lake Chuzenji and Senjogahara, you will find Kyukamura Nikko Yumoto on the shores of Lake Yunoko at an altitude of approximately 1,500 meters.
