(President: Masashi Nagayoshi, Headquarters: Yokohama City, Kanagawa Prefecture, hereinafter referred to as PAS) is providing services to LP gas distributors as part of its efforts to create a new service business aimed at transforming the mobility society. will officially launch its delivery efficiency service “DRIVEBOSS(TM) LP Gas” from June 5, 2024. By using this service, it is possible to plan and create routes for LP gas delivery using AI. Through this, we aim to resolve on-site issues by making work more individualized, and contribute to solving the 2024 logistics problem by improving work efficiency. Before launching the official service, we made improvements based on the beta version demonstration experiment conducted in October 2023.
In addition to the special nature of LP gas (liquefied petroleum gas) delivery, which requires qualifications for delivery and security operations, there is a shortage of human resources that is becoming more serious due to the aging of the population, and the 2024 logistics problem based on legal revisions makes it difficult to improve operational efficiency. It is expected that the situation will become more difficult in the future. In addition, it is necessary to respond to diversifying needs, such as delivery based on the amount of gas remaining in the LP gas container and designation of different delivery times for each destination, and creating delivery routes requires a wealth of experience and skills. This is a job that is highly dependent on the individuality of the delivery person. PAS has developed a delivery efficiency service that makes it possible for anyone to handle the task of creating an LP gas delivery plan, which used to be an individual task. By automating the creation of delivery plans and routes that take into account complex conditions using a unique algorithm, we will eliminate the shortage of human resources and improve the efficiency of delivery operations, contributing to solving the 2024 logistics problem. In addition, we have designed our services to be easy to implement by minimizing installation effort and running costs.
