Until September 30th, 2024 (Monday), we are recruiting works for exhibition from both professionals and amateurs who are challenging various photographic expressions. Our gallery management committee will screen the applicants, and we will support those or groups with rich expressiveness and excellent photographic techniques.
What is “Procyon Force”?
This is a support project that provides young photographers with a strong desire to create a space for photo exhibitions at our gallery as a place to present their work. The competition began in 2014, and so far 28 people have passed the screening and have been selected to hold a photo exhibition. “Procyon” is the first-magnitude star in the constellation Canis Minor, which forms the “Winter Triangle” with “Sirius,” which is the origin of the gallery’s name. “Force” is a Greek word that means “light/shine.”
Our hope is for young photographers to become a new light shining in the night sky together with “Sirius.”
