Gakujo Co., Ltd. (headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo) conducted an internet survey regarding job hunting for university and graduate students scheduled to graduate in March 2025. This time, we investigated the theme of “the status of obtaining informal offers.” The unofficial acquisition rate as of the end of May 2024 is 81.3%. This is a significant increase of 11.2 points in one month from 70.1% at the end of April survey. 45.2% of students answered that they had completed their job hunting after receiving an informal offer, indicating that nearly half of the students completed their job hunting in just three months after the recruitment promotion ban was lifted.

The job hunting rate was 53.4%, down 14.4 points from the previous month. The percentage of students who “obtained an informal offer and completed their job hunting” was “45.2%”, which is nearly half of the students.

Regarding follow-up from companies that have obtained informal offers, 50.5% of students answered “social gatherings (face-to-face),” a significant increase from 38.3% the previous month. The result for the same period last year was 35.5%, which shows that the number of informal follow-ups at social gatherings (face-to-face) has increased this year compared to the previous year.
