Freelance Board investigated the average monthly unit price by development language, framework, and job type for 141,500 posted jobs as of June 6, 2024.

The average monthly unit price for freelance projects in June 2024 is 715,000 yen, and the maximum unit price is 3.2 million yen.

The average monthly unit price by development language is as shown in the table above.
Regarding the development languages listed above, many of the monthly unit prices have increased compared to May 2024.
The development language with the highest average monthly unit price is “Go language” at 802,000 yen (+9,000 yen compared to the previous month).
The Go language is a development language characterized by high speed processing, unified code writing, and few errors.
Next in second place is “Scala” with 798,000 yen (+6,000 yen compared to the previous month).
Scala is a development language that is highly compatible with Java and allows for high-speed development.
3rd place goes to “Ruby” with 792,000 yen (+6,000 yen compared to the previous month).
Ruby is an object-oriented development language that requires less code and is highly readable.
There are no new development languages in the table above compared to last month.
Looking at the changes in the monthly average unit price compared to the previous month, the development languages with particularly large increases are “Perl” at 681,000 yen (+12,000 yen compared to the previous month) and “C” at 663,000 yen (+8 compared to the previous month) On the other hand, the development language with the largest decline was “Dart”, which was 741,000 yen (down 11,100 yen from the previous month).
