[JPI Seminar] Kumamoto Prefecture “Current situation, challenges and new initiatives in the semiconductor industry” July 12th (Friday) -To be held in Tokyo-
*JPI (Japan Planning Institute), which plans and holds business seminars, will hold the following seminars. *
JPI (Japan Planning Institute) is led by Shota Tsujii, Chief Councilor and Manager, Industrial Support Division, Industrial Promotion Bureau, Kumamoto Prefecture, Department of Commerce, Industry and Labor. Kumamoto Prefecture is undergoing various changes due to the semiconductor boom and the TSMC attraction, and in March 2023, the Kumamoto prefectural government created the Kumamoto Semiconductor Industry Promotion Vision, which is the first of its kind to focus on the semiconductor field. In addition, Kumamoto Prefecture, in collaboration with Kumamoto University, has been selected for the Cabinet Office Local Universities and Regional Industry Revitalization Grant, and plans to strengthen industry-academia collaboration and strengthen the semiconductor industry base through university reform over the next five years. In conjunction with this, we will provide a detailed explanation of the current situation, challenges, and future measures in the semiconductor industry in Kumamoto Prefecture. * [Lecture items] *
