Currently, as globalization progresses, Japan, an island nation, also shares issues with the international community. In 2022, the world’s population will exceed 8 billion people. Both India and China have outstanding populations of 1.4 billion people, and Asian countries and current developing countries will likely become the center stage of the future international society. With this background in mind, this lecture will share the current situation on the ground and discuss the future from my perspective as a consultant who has implemented many urban planning and urban development projects mainly in emerging and developing countries. We would like to discuss issues and future prospects.
