* [Lecture summary] *
In the semiconductor industry, cycles of ups and downs are inevitable (cyclical theory), but on the other hand, the industry has returned to a phase where speeding up is the top priority, creating a structure of “cyclical growth” in which the peak of the next cycle exceeds the peak of the previous cycle. There is (structural theory). Mizuho Securities believes that the semiconductor industry has entered its second growth cycle. In addition to showing the differences from the low-growth era after 2000 (the second half of the first growth cycle), we also use concrete examples to show the similarities with the semiconductor industry up to the mid-1990s (the first half of the first growth cycle). In addition to a different pricing strategy, the direction of the development strategy including government involvement, and the future technology roadmap, we will explain in detail the factors that will be a major turning point.
