Kameda Medical University fosters students full of HEART who will develop the local community and energize the area.
On Wednesday, June 5, 2024, faculty and students from Kameda Medical University (Kamogawa City, Chiba Prefecture) participated in a joint regional disaster prevention drill sponsored by JR Awa-Kamogawa Station as part of their social and regional contribution activities. This training was aimed at improving local disaster prevention capabilities, and many local companies and organizations, including the Kamogawa Police Station and Kamogawa Fire Department, also participated.

In particular, in the event of an incident inside a vehicle, our students served as liaisons with outside parties and communicated information quickly and accurately.

This training not only strengthened cooperation with local residents, organizations, and companies, but also served as a valuable learning opportunity for the students. The students experienced real disaster scenarios and acquired quick response and communication skills in the field. This fosters a sense of responsibility as future medical professionals and fosters an attitude of contributing to the local community.
Collaboration between the local community and our university creates new connections between people, leading to the resolution of local issues and regional development. This initiative became a valuable opportunity to contribute to building a sustainable local community. Kameda Medical University will continue to develop and move forward together with the community.
