[Main visitor comments]
– Since it was sponsored by a company called Panasonic, even beginners could participate with confidence.
・I think this is a very good initiative that is easy for first-timers to get into and expands the scope of conservation activities, so I would like people to continue doing it.
・I hope that this will continue for many years to come, and that the efforts of rescued dogs and cats, the protection organizations and companies that support them will become more and more recognized by the public.
・I enjoyed all the events such as the charity market and the festival. I was worried about adopting a rescue cat, but I was very happy to learn that it is possible to adopt one in my own environment by consulting with a rescue organization.
・I know that conservation activities are very difficult, but I am filled with gratitude to the organizations and people involved who continue their efforts.
・I purchased official charity goods. I’m also looking forward to collaborating with these artists.
・I was surprised that the home appliances seemed to be very
comfortable for spending time with pets.

On New Year’s Eve last year, my previous beloved dog passed away at the age of 20 years and 5 months. I felt lonely due to this sudden incident, and I was without a pet for a while. If I were to adopt another dog, I thought it would be a rescue dog. At that time, I learned that there was a Panasonic rescue dog and cat adoption event. It was my first time going to an adoption event, and I wanted to see what it was like, so my family of five attended.
I watched the adoption event from the viewing area until the scheduled time, and that’s when I spotted Kira. I felt that there was a resemblance to the child of the previous generation, and my heart fluttered as soon as I saw it. As soon as I entered the adoption area at the scheduled time, I went to see Kira and spoke to the animal protection organization, and I could immediately imagine a life with Kira. At that time, I also heard that he was 12 years old and had a chronic illness.
Kira’s previous owner passed away, and he had no one to take him in, so he lived alone at his owner’s house for a while. It seems that her relatives visited her sometimes, but not often, and when she was rescued, she was covered in hairballs and the fur on her tail was thinning. After hearing such stories, the family agreed that they wanted him to live a long life and to make him happy.
Kira seems to have settled into a new life. He started sleeping in our bed together at night. I love walking and am I really 12 years old? I feel full of energy. We also enjoy walking with Kira, and our family takes turns going for an hour each in the morning and evening. He’s very clever and gets up to a lot of pranks. It has now become an indispensable part of our family.
