Aisan Technology Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Nagoya City, Aichi Prefecture, President and Representative Director: Jun Kato) has been conducting demonstration experiments on autonomous driving since fiscal 2016, ahead of the rest of the country, and has been working to improve autonomous driving technology, build business models, and contribute to society. We have worked to foster receptivity. This transaction is managed by NTT Communications Inc. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, President and CEO: Toru Maruoka), with a total of 9 companies under the showcase model and 6 companies under the customer attraction facility model. The community will carry out the project under contract from Aichi Prefecture.
This fiscal year, in Chubu Centrair International Airport Island and the surrounding area, we will conduct regular operations on the assumption that local community buses will be autonomously driven, and we will verify autonomous driving using vehicles with high
transportation capacity on routes including the Chubu Centrair International Airport access road. At Morikoro Park (Expo 2005 Aichi Commemorative Park), we are accelerating efforts toward implementation by verifying safe and secure operation in a mixed pedestrian and vehicle space on the “East Park Bus Route” that connects Ghibli Park facilities, etc. Masu.
Our company will participate in demonstration experiments in the Rinku area of Tokoname City and Morikoro Park.
