It was decorated with approximately 1,500 paper airplanes with dreams written on their wings, and attracted the attention of both domestic and international tourists.
On June 10th, “Dream Day”*2, we will be dedicating paper airplanes with dreams on them to Anamori Inari Shrine in Haneda, Tokyo, with the hope that children’s dreams on paper airplanes will come true. did. *1 The fashion mikoshi is an original Cygames mikoshi made by Miyamoto Unosuke Shoten, which makes the main shrine mikoshi for the Sanja Festival, and is decorated with denim and Ise washi paper from Otoyo Washi Kogyo, which makes Ise Jingu paper. The paper airplane decorations, made from approximately 1,500 sheets of Japanese paper, were completed in a workshop with all students at Haneda Elementary School in Ota Ward.
*2 Yume no Hi is said to have been established by a woman in Naoshima, Kagawa Prefecture, and the date is a play on the words 6 and 10 to read “muchu” (muchu = muju), and the word “kano” in “dreams come true.” It comes from the fact that the character contains the number ten. It is also a day to think about and talk about your dreams, and to thank those who have helped you realize your dreams.

■Comment from Rieko Watanabe, Principal of Ota Ward Haneda Elementary School I was excited when I heard that the denim mikoshi will be decorated at Haneda Airport Terminal 2. While enjoying the feel of Ise washi paper, we folded paper airplanes and wrote our wishes on the wings. The children’s wishes will be to fly up into the sky on wings. Thank you for the wonderful experience.
