Hokuriku Electric Power and INTEC begin collaboration on energy resource aggregation business
Contributing to the realization of a carbon-neutral society through next-generation power management
……
Hokuriku Electric Power Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Toyama City, Toyama Prefecture, Representative Director and President and Executive Officer: Koji Matsuda, hereinafter referred to as Hokuriku Electric Power) and TIS INTEC Group’s INTEC Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Toyama City, Toyama Prefecture, Representative Director and President: Hidezo Hikita, INTEC (hereinafter referred to as INTEC) today signed a basic agreement regarding collaboration in the energy resource aggregation business.
The energy resource aggregation business bundles and controls distributed energy resources*1 (hereinafter referred to as DER) and functions like a virtual power plant to promote the use of renewable energy, improve resilience during disasters, and This is an energy business that contributes to improving the efficiency of power systems.
Both companies, which have business foundations rooted in the Hokuriku region, will complement each other with Hokuriku Electric Power’s strength in energy business and INTEC’s strength in digital
technology, and will develop energy resource aggregation with the aim of creating a carbon-neutral and sustainable society. By realizing this, we will begin collaboration to expand our energy business and ultimately contribute to the development of the local economy. The two companies have so far conducted demonstration experiments to remotely control multiple EcoCutes using INTEC’s smart home app “UCHITAS,” and have begun efforts to confirm the basic technology and resolve issues.
In the future, in addition to DERs such as EcoCute and storage batteries, UCHITAS will be linked with home appliances such as air conditioners and lighting, and by remotely and integrated control, we will be able to optimize in-home electricity usage and improve the efficiency of power systems. , we will promote consideration of new DR services that realize next-generation power management*2.

In addition, regarding the cybersecurity measures required for this project, the Cyber Civilization Research Center *3, which is based at Keio University and conducts related research and policy proposals in this field, and the Keio University SFC Research Institute Regional ICT Platform We will utilize the research results of our laboratory to promote initiatives that comply with the latest international standard trends of the IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission). *1 Distributed energy resources (DER):
A general term for energy resources (power receiving, power storage, demand equipment, etc.) connected below the power receiving point of the consumer, such as EcoCute and storage batteries.
*2 Next-generation power management:
Optimizing power supply and demand by combining solar power
generation, EVs, storage batteries, EcoCute, etc.
*3 Cyber Civilization Research Center:
The International Collaborative Research Institute on Cyber-Physical Systems, established in 2018 within the Keio University Global Research Institute, welcomes experts in Internet engineering and management information systems from the United States and Japan (co-directors: Dr. David Farber, Dr. Murai) Jun Keio University Professor).
that’s all
