Yamamotoyama was founded in Nihonbashi in 1690 (Genroku 3). He became known as the number one tea merchant in Edo after selling “Aosei Sencha” for the first time in Edo. In 1835, the sixth generation Kahei Yamamoto invented “Gyokuro”. We have been selling “nori” since the Showa period.
“Hiyashi Nori Daku Chazuke”, a summer-only product created by a “tea merchant that has been around since Edo”, is a ochazuke based on chilled brown rice tea soup carefully selected by Yamamotoyama. Homemade soup stock made from bonito, kelp, and shiitake mushrooms combined with brown rice tea. Genmaicha is fragrant even when chilled, and has a flavor that allows you to feel the gentle sweetness of rice. The ingredients include three types of domestically produced seaweed carefully selected by Yamamotoyama: dried rose seaweed, sheet seaweed, and aosa seaweed, with the addition of light-flavored loosened seaweed, and accented with myoga and sudachi for a refreshing taste.
