Background to appointment as outside director
Since its founding in 2018, Lightblue has consistently developed and provided solutions centered on multimodal AI based on image analysis and natural language processing technology, and works to solve corporate issues by introducing algorithms into real space. Here we are.
In order to strengthen the management structure and corporate governance with an eye to further business expansion, we have selected Nakamura, who has management and involvement experience at numerous startup technology companies.
We welcomed Mr. Takao as an outside director.
Mr. Nakamura is a graduate of the Bank of Japan, and has extensive experience gained through corporate management as representative director of Digital Garage Co., Ltd. and Infoseek Co., Ltd., as well as a high level of insight as a lawyer. He has also served as an outside director of various startups, and will support Lightblue’s management from a practical and multifaceted perspective.

Takao Nakamura
After graduating from the University of Tokyo in 1989, he joined the Bank of Japan. In 1994, earned an MBA from the University of California, Los Angeles.
After that, he served as Representative Director, Vice President/COO & CFO of Digital Garage Co., Ltd., and Representative Director and President of Infoseek Co., Ltd., before graduating from the University of Tokyo Law School in 2007 and registering as a lawyer the following year. In 2016, he opened Wadakuramon Law Office and became a partner attorney.
Currently, he serves as a legal advisor and outside director (including audit and supervisory committee member) for a variety of companies, including startups, and accompanies many business owners. He has served as vice president of the Daini Tokyo Bar Association (2022) and vice president of the Japan Sailing Federation (current position).

My name is Takao Nakamura and I have been appointed as an outside director. To date, I have already served as an outside director for more than 10 listed companies, but this is the first time in more than 10 years that I have officially assumed the position of director of a company that has not yet been listed. For the first time in a long time, I am enjoying the excitement of being able to be closely involved in launching a new business using new technology and providing new added value to society. About 25 years have already passed since I was excited and working hard at the founding of Digital Garage Co., Ltd. and Infoseek Co., Ltd. I would like to contribute to the development of Lightblue Co., Ltd. by leveraging my own management experience at that time and my subsequent experience supporting many business owners as a lawyer, advisor, and outside director.
