In recent years, the importance of information education in schools, such as programming learning, has increased. In order to provide a learning environment where students can improve their programming skills more efficiently, the Department of Information Systems, Faculty of Information Science, Bunkyo University has introduced the “paiza Learning School Free Pass” provided by paiza Inc. since 2021. “paiza Learning” is an online introductory programming learning content using videos, and in particular, programming courses such as Java, Python, Ruby, PHP, C language, SQL, JavaScript, HTML + CSS are available. Students are given the opportunity to use the “paiza Learning School Free Pass,” which allows them to use a programming learning environment free of charge, which features videos of about 3 minutes each and practice tasks that correspond to each chapter, allowing them to learn efficiently. This time, paiza and the Department of Information Systems will jointly hold the “paiza Rank Challenge” to award the highest rank and number of challenges on the “paiza skill check”, which measures programming skills in six stages. The target audience is 1st to 4th year students in the Department of Information Systems. Through the “paiza Rank Challenge”, we hope to motivate students to learn programming and create an opportunity for continuous learning.
