-Thoughts about the large olive tree planting project *Excerpt from the project page-
In order to quickly recover from this earthquake, we will move toward recovery based on the olive, which is a symbol of peace and gives hope to people. First, 1,000 olive saplings will be planted on the Noto Peninsula over three years. We will lease farmland in areas affected by the disaster, such as Suzu City, Noto Town, Wajima City, Anamizu Town, and Shiga Town, and plant the crops. And also at the entrances of temporary housing in various places.
After planting the olive tree and cultivating it for three years, it will begin to bear fruit and be ready for harvest. In the future, olives will grow alongside the reconstruction of the Noto Peninsula, and the reconstruction of the Noto Peninsula will grow as if to accompany it.
We would like everyone to support Olive’s growth and recovery at the same time. The population of the Noto area has decreased by 17% over the past 10 years, and depopulation and aging are progressing. Furthermore, due to the recent Noto Peninsula earthquake, there are concerns about a population outflow and a decrease in the related population. Under these circumstances, I believe it is important to revive existing industries and create and grow new businesses. * Olive project implementation situation *

* About the recovery support activities of the PROTEAN CAREER Association * *Protean Career Association Representative Director Toru Ariyama* Since the earthquake occurred, we have been recruiting people within our association who would like to participate in the “Noto Peninsula Earthquake Volunteer” activity, and we were looking for something we could do. At that time, we learned from a Facebook post by a certified member living in Ishikawa Prefecture that the “Large Olive Tree Planting Project” was being carried out, and the association decided to make a support purchase for corporations. After that, we solicited participants within our association for the “Large Olive Tree Planting Project,” which hopes for recovery through the experience of planting trees, and certified persons participated. Thank you to all the certified participants who participated.
Our association will continue to work with certified individuals to reach out to society with the goal of “realizing a society full of psychological success.”
* From participating members *
*Protean Career Association Certified Facilitator Takanobu Ito* This time, I participated in the project as a member of the PROTEAN Career Association with the hope of contributing to the reconstruction and revitalization of the Noto Peninsula area. Friends of the association who usually only meet online gathered at Notojima Olive Garden from Okayama, Aichi, Gifu, and Kanagawa. After the heavy rain in the morning, the participants worked together with other
participants under the guidance of the organizer to plant olive saplings, including digging holes, fertilizing, planting, and securing them to poles. Ta. In the olive garden, the olive trees that were planted previously were bearing this year’s flowers (buds), and I was able to see them. It was a day that brought me happiness. We hope for the future growth of olive trees and the recovery and revitalization of the Noto Peninsula area, and we would like to continue to support them.
