Mental and physical problems start in your 30s! ? The importance of food revealed in the 1st National Well-Aging Survey – Presenting the actual health status of approximately 4,500 people
* Q-Sai Co., Ltd. (Head office: Fukuoka City, Fukuoka Prefecture, Representative Director and President: Saeki)
Sumi) aims to “penetrate and popularize well-aging” as its corporate mission, and conducted a nationwide questionnaire survey “1st We conducted the National Well-Aging Survey. In this survey, we will thoroughly analyze tips for aging positively and present the results in three parts. In this third installment, people with high scores vary based on the results of the importance and satisfaction level of health of the body and mind, as well as the “Well Aging Score” which is a self-rating of the health of the body and mind. We will analyze the nutrients you need to take in in your diet to avoid being sick. *

* ■What is Well Aging?*
In today’s era of 100-year lifespans, we define “well-aging” as living a rich and fulfilling life by accepting who you are, rather than fighting against your age. By penetrating and disseminating this way of thinking, we aim not only to extend healthy lifespans, but also to create a society where people can face aging positively and accept diverse ways of living.
■Points and overview of this survey
In this survey, we analyzed the results from various perspectives, centering on the “Well Aging Score,” which is a self-rating of the health of one’s body and mind.
-Survey overview-
Survey period: February 16th to February 20th, 2024
Research method: Internet research
Target: 4,512 people (nationwide / men and women / 20-79 years old) *The composition ratio is rounded to the second decimal place, so the total may not necessarily add up to 100.

In this third part of the results report, we will focus on the health of the body and mind, and clarify the ideal and reality, as well as the dietary trends that people with high well-aging scores keep in mind, which can serve as preventive measures against various disorders. .
* -Body health-*
*I. Problems start appearing in your “appearance” starting in your 30s* * II. The biggest gap between ideal and reality is in the eyes* ◇Points that feel unwell with age: 1st place: Skin, 2nd place: Hair, 3rd place: Eyes
◇High importance/satisfaction gap: 1st place: eye function, 2nd place: sleep, 3rd place: condition of legs and hips
* -Heart health-*

◇High importance/satisfaction gap: 1st place: Having positive emotions * -Tips for aging positively (meal edition)-*

*VI. People with high scores try to eat with a focus on nutrients* For people with low scores, the top choice of nutrients they are conscious of is “nothing in particular.”
On the other hand, people with high scores are conscious of nutrients in all areas: skin, exercise, physical condition management, insomnia, and stress!
* -Body health-*
I. Problems start appearing in your “appearance” from your 30s onwards. When asked about his/her own physical health, *
In descending order of the percentage of people feeling unwell, 1st place was skin problems (74.6%), 2nd place was hair problems (71.0%), and 3rd place was eye function decline (61.3%). It’s easy to feel that your body is not feeling well from your “appearance”*
I understand this. There are also actual results that show that *disorders* begin to appear in people’s 30s.
* II. The biggest gap between ideal and reality is in the eyes* We also asked them to rate the importance and satisfaction with their health for each organ, and found that *
In descending order of the gap between ideal and reality (highest importance, highest satisfaction), 1st place: Eye function (difference 32.5%), 2nd place: Sleep (28.2%), 3rd place: Legs and lower back condition (24.1%) )have become. *
* -Heart health-*
III. Bad health begins to appear in the form of anxiety and stress starting in your 30s.
When asked about his own mental health, he answered *
In descending order of the percentage of people feeling unwell, 1st place: Anxiety about the future (68.4%), 2nd place: Feeling stressed more about trivial things (63.9%), 3rd place: More irritability (61.6%) )have become. *
You can see that mental disorders are easily felt due to anxiety and stress. There are also actual results that show that *disorders* begin to appear in people’s 30s.
IV. The biggest gap between ideal and reality is “having positive emotions” We also asked them to rate their level of importance and satisfaction with their health using five indicators: *
The top item with a large gap between ideal and reality (high importance, low satisfaction) was “Having positive emotions” (16.6%)*. * -Tips for aging positively (meal edition)-*
* It turns out that people with high Well Aging Scores have different diets! * V. People with high scores are 1.5 times less likely to experience fatigue and insomnia.
When asked about their own physical health, we compared the percentage of people who selected “no health problems” between groups with high and low well-aging scores. In group comparison*
We found that in the order of the organs with the largest gaps in the percentage of patients with no complaints, 1st place was fatigue (approximately 1.8 times), and 2nd place was insomnia (approximately 1.5 times).

Similarly, when asked about their own mental health, we compared the percentage of people who selected “no health problems” between groups with high and low Well Aging scores. In group comparison* In descending order of the gap in the ratio of “no complaints”, 1st place: lack of motivation (approximately 1.9 times), 2nd place: worries about small things and feels depressed (approximately 1.8 times), and there is a big difference just like in the body* I understand that.
VI. The key to preventing illness for people with high scores is to eat a diet that is conscious of nutrients.
We asked participants about the nutrients they consciously incorporate into their diets as a countermeasure for five ailments: skin, motor function, physical condition management, insomnia, and stress, and compared the results between groups with high and low well-aging scores. As a result, in the low-score group, “Nothing in particular” was the top choice for all five items, while in the high-score group, over 60% of all five items selected nutrients that they were aware of.

■Comprehensive review by our company
