plant-derived biodegradable resin “polylactic acid (PLA) resin” and have a thickness of only 0.65 mm at the thinnest part. We have put two types into practical use. The plastic industry trade fair “NPE” was held in the United States in May 2024.
We are pleased to inform you that it will be unveiled for the first time at the 2024 – The Plastics Show, and sales will begin in Japan from July of the same year.

We have developed two items: “Hepta” and “(4 Tier Glass) 4 Tiers”. Glasses made of PLA resin are more difficult to break than glass or ceramics, and can be used in a wide range of situations, from everyday use to parties and outdoors. Please do not use it once and use it repeatedly.

The concept is based on the auspicious number 7, which is both a prime number and “hard to break.” A unique design in which the heptagonal shape at the bottom is changed to a circular shape at the mouth, and an unparalleled sense of transparency, have been realized by making full use of advanced manufacturing technology. The length from the belly button at the bottom to the mouth (flow length) is approximately 135 mm, which is the longest in the world at the time of development (according to our research). The thinnest part is approximately 0.65mm thick, and the thin mouth area enhances the mouthfeel.

The biodegradable resin used is called “PLA resin”, which is derived from polylactic acid, and is made from corn, sugarcane, etc. It biodegrades in about 3 months in the compost and in the soil. It biodegrades in about 5 years, and in the ocean about 10 years. PLA resin does not increase the amount of carbon dioxide, which is thought to be a cause of global warming, from its production to decomposition, and when 1 kg of fossil resource resin is replaced with PLA resin, approximately 2.5 kg of carbon dioxide is released. It is possible to reduce the

PLA resin is a workpiece material that is extremely difficult to mold using a single material. The molding time is about 4 to 5 times longer than that of fossil resource plastics, and the thickness has been limited to about 1mm. We took on the challenge of using this difficult-to-form material using our own advanced manufacturing technology and achieved a thickness of 0.65 mm. The length from the belly button at the bottom to the mouth (flow length) is approximately 135 mm, which is the longest in the world at the time of development (according to our research as of May 2024). * 3 No scrap, cost-friendly, eco-friendly *
PLA resin is the most widely used biodegradable resin in the world, but it is about four times more expensive than general fossil resource-derived resins. Therefore, we aimed to create a cost-friendly product by using a special processing method to achieve zero scrap, and by shortening molding time and other measures.

Perfect for eco-friendly events, outdoor activities, and other environmentally conscious events. It can also be used for educational purposes related to environmental issues, such as making compost and observing the decomposition process of PLA resin. It is also possible to print (laser processing) your favorite logo or design.

NPE 2024 – The Plastics Show exhibit
In May 2024, the plastic industry trade fair “NPE 2024 – The Plastics” was held in Florida, USA.
We exhibited at “Show”. We received comments from visitors such as, “I’ve never seen such thin injection-molded PLA resin glasses!” and “The lips are smooth and beautiful, just like glass glasses.” GX Manufacturing Center Facility Exterior
In order to build a mass production system for this product, we will build a new factory (GX Manufacturing Center) in Iida City, Nagano Prefecture and begin full-scale operation. At this base, we are also focusing on establishing molding technology for heat-resistant PLA resin.
