Giovanni De Trana supervises the cooking at Gio’s. Giovanni is a chef with extensive experience working at world-class hotels such as the Bulgari Hotel in Milan and the Shangri-La Hotel in Tokyo, and he is very particular about his cooking philosophy. Giovanni’s cuisine uses fresh local ingredients and carefully prepares each dish to provide guests with the ultimate dining experience.
Hotel “THE HAPPO” has a half-board plan available from June 12, 2024 (Wednesday) to November 10, 2024 (Sunday). For an additional charge of 9,600 yen per person per night, this plan includes breakfast and dinner, and the breakfast lineup includes authentic barista-brewed coffee, fresh pastries, and popular classics such as avocado toast and eggs Benedict. For lunch and dinner, you can enjoy traditional Italian dishes such as homemade fresh pasta, venison tagliata, and roasted swordfish, as well as a wide selection of wines from around the world to enjoy with your meals.
The half-board plan offered to guests staying at THE HAPPO and Hakuba Hospitality Group’s chalets includes not only the Italian restaurant Gio’s but also the modern yakitori restaurant Tori Co., which opened last year. Tori Co. is located in Wadano, surrounded by Hakuba trees and only a few hundred meters from Sakka Slope. Overflowing with authentic yakitori and a homely atmosphere, Tori Co. is the perfect place to spend time with family and friends.
