NGP Cooperative holds the industry’s first campaign for automotive aftermarket businesses!
*~Achieving a circular economy through automobile recycling! ~* NGP Japan Automobile Recycling Business Cooperative (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo, Chairman: Nobuo Kobayashi, hereinafter
NGP will be implementing a new campaign “Circular Economy Campaign ‘Protect Japan’s resources with scrapped cars and recycled parts!'” aiming to realize a circular economy.
This is the first campaign in the automobile recycling industry that aims to realize a circular economy.

Due to the recent rise in environmental awareness, there is a growing trend towards carbon neutrality and circular economy in the automobile industry, and automobile recycling is also attracting renewed attention.

Since the automobile industry uses a large amount of resources in the manufacturing process itself, there is a need to promote a “circular economy” in which products are recycled once they are made and no waste is generated.

In order to realize a circular economy in the domestic automobile industry, it is necessary for automobile manufacturers to develop automobiles with recyclability in mind, as well as the use of recycled parts during maintenance and repair during the use stage of the automobile, and the use of recycled parts after use. It is important to reuse parts where possible, carefully separate resources, and return resources to the product once again.

For this reason, the circular economy is not an issue that only automobile manufacturers should consider, but the automobile aftermarket and automobile recycling industries must also work together to realize initiatives.

● Conceptual diagram of circular economy in automobile recycling (NGP) Although efforts to realize a circular economy are progressing in industry, the reality is that awareness among the public is still low.

This campaign is aimed primarily at automobile maintenance and sheet metal businesses, and we would like to hear from business operators who have strong relationships with car users on a daily basis the importance of realizing a circular economy. We decided to implement this because we hope it will be an opportunity to appeal to users.

Applications for the campaign can be made depending on the donation of scrapped cars or the use of recycled parts.By having NGP members provide vehicles, recycled parts and resources such as iron, copper, aluminum, and plastic can be used domestically. In order to provide new value by recycling and contributing to the circular economy, and to promote environmentally friendly NGP recycled parts even more than ever before, we have set up an “NGP recycled parts voucher” as a prize.

In addition, it is important to visualize the degree of environmental contribution in providing vehicles and using recycled parts, and we have created an “Environmental Contribution Report” that visualizes the amount of resources extracted from scrapped cars and the amount of CO2 reduced by using recycled parts. We also provide (Click here for details
