From July 1, 2024, we will provide “tepid water” between 36℃ and 39℃ in an effort to prevent heat stroke due to the intense heat.
Background of implementation
In recent years, climate change has led to continued heat waves, and heatstroke has become a serious social problem. Heatstroke
particularly affects the elderly and children, and many people suffer from this disease every year. In response to this situation, Komaki Raku no Yu has decided to take proactive steps to protect the health and safety of the community.
Komaki Raku no Yu aims to solve local issues and social issues through baths and saunas. Hot spring facilities play an important role as places to promote health and relaxation for local communities. Therefore, we planned this nuruyu event with the desire to protect the health of local residents and contribute to the community as much as possible.
About heat acclimation
Lukewarm water is provided at an optimal temperature range to promote heat acclimation. Heat acclimation is a phenomenon in which the body becomes easier to adapt to a hot environment. As it progresses, the body temperature is kept lower and sweating becomes easier, which is effective in preventing heatstroke. At our facility, you can experience the heat acclimatization effect by taking a bath at a temperature of 36℃ to 39℃ for about 10 to 20 minutes.
