The Container Culture Museum operated by the Toyo Seikan Group will hold a summer vacation event for elementary school students for two days, Wednesday, August 7th and Thursday, August 8th, 2024. The purpose of this event is to help people learn about the appeal of familiar containers that we use on a daily basis, and to provide an opportunity to think about the importance of sustainability through containers that end up in the trash. . This event was started to let as many people as possible, mainly local people, know about the appeal of the Container Culture Museum, and this year marks the 10th time it has been held.
We will hold a variety of events that elementary school students can enjoy learning about, such as a quiz rally where you can tour the museum while solving quizzes, a craft experience using containers, and an SDGs workshop called “Containers x Sustainability.”

Let’s make crafts with familiar containers and play with cardboard, caps, etc. ・SDGs workshop “Containers x Sustainability” (advance reservation required) Various initiatives aimed at solving SDGs are hidden in the everyday containers that we use every day. We will introduce the relationship between containers and sustainability, focusing on lightweight and convenient plastics.
