“DATATRUNK”, a storage service that complies with the Electronic Bookkeeping Act, was updated on June 26th (Wednesday) and now supports “scanner storage.”

In December 2023, the two-year amnesty period ended and full-scale implementation of the “Revised Electronic Bookkeeping Act” began. Our company’s “DATATRUNK” was released and provided in October 2023 as a storage that supports the storage of national tax-related documents exchanged via Internet fax (electronic transaction format), but we have responded to customer requests. Now, it is also possible to save in the “scanner save” format. You can now upload and save paper receipts, receipts, purchase orders, delivery notes, invoices, etc.

– ■What is “DATATRUNK”, a storage that complies with the Electronic Bookkeeping Act?
“DATATRUNK” is a cloud storage that stores form files such as national tax-related books and documents that customers exchange in commercial transactions in a format that is compatible with
“electronic transactions” and “scanner storage” under the “Electronic Book Storage Act”.
The storage method is very simple. You can upload it from the screen, or if you link it with your current system via API or email, it will automatically be saved in a legalized state.
In addition, by linking with our fax service, you can achieve paperless faxing and legalization at the same time.

– ■What is the Electronic Bookkeeping Act?
The Electronic Bookkeeping Act is a law that allows books and documents to be stored electronically.
This law was enacted in 1998 and aims to promote business efficiency and paperlessness by allowing companies to store their books and documents as electronic data.
The Electronic Bookkeeping Preservation Act is operated under the supervision of the National Tax Agency and has strict requirements for preservation, but the conditions have been eased through several revisions since its enforcement, and the 2022 amendment will take effect. The contents are now easy to operate.
