Conveying your “precious self” to children: A series of classes on life and sexuality starting from Saturday, July 20th [Shizuoka] *“Birthology” to learn about “sexuality” and “life” will also be held online in September*
Consumers’ Cooperative Pal System Shizuoka (Headquarters: Obuchi, Fuji City, Chairman: Masakazu Dainobu) will be open from 10 a.m. to 12 noon on Saturday, July 20th, Saturday, August 31st, and Saturday, September 28th. Until then, we will be holding a series of lectures on the theme of adolescent bodies and sexuality. We will invite Kazuko Taki, a birth studies advisor, to speak to the lecturer about the importance of telling children about the beginning of life.
Thinking together about what we were born with
The first consecutive course will be held on Saturday, July 20th and the second on Saturday, August 31st at Granship Shizuoka in Shizuoka City, and the third course will be held online on Saturday, September 28th. To do.
The instructor will be Kazuko Taki, who is a certified lecturer in Life and Sex Classes and Birth Studies (R). The first session will be called “First Menstruation Class” and will be held for girls from 4th grade onwards and their parents. Children will learn about the power of the womb, the connection between life, and their own bodies, and foster a relationship where they can talk with their children at home.

In the second “Boys’ Body Classroom,” we will learn about the development of boys’ minds and bodies, and convey the importance of watching over their growth. The third installment of “Sex Education for Adolescents” will convey the importance of sex education at home and in daily life, without being confused by the “sex” information that is overflowing on SNS and the media.
Throughout the course, we will review the correct knowledge of children’s mental and physical growth and sexuality, and think together with the participants about the meaning of conveying the importance of being born and their bodies.
“Birthology” to know the preciousness of your life
Ms. Taki conveyed the message to children in Shizuoka Prefecture, their guardians, and the adults close to them, “If you are happy about being born, your future will be joyful,” as well as learning about “sexuality” and “life,” which nurture life. I teach “Birthology”. In addition to learning about pregnancy and childbirth and how the body works, we will talk about the meaning of continuing to convey to newborn children that they are important beings.

A lack of self-affirmation and correct knowledge about valuing one’s mind and body can lead to problems such as unwanted pregnancies and sexual crimes, where sexuality, which is necessary for nurturing life, is viewed negatively. This is happening a lot in the country. Through holding this course, Pal System Shizuoka conveys the importance of sexuality and life, and aims to create a community where everyone can respect themselves and live together.

This series of lectures will be held with the support of the “Welfare and Assistance Grant” operated by Pal System Mutual Aid Cooperative Federation (Headquarters: Okubo, Shinjuku-ku, Business: Masakazu Dainobu). A portion of the surplus from the insurance business, which is a system for users to help each other, is used as subsidies and is also used to create a better society. We support the costs of child-rearing support, welfare, and assistance activities that users themselves voluntarily organize in their communities.

Pal System Mutual Aid Federation will continue to support various activities aimed at creating communities where everyone can live comfortably.
